Speech Pathologist
Rida is a speech pathologist originally from Pakistan, where she completed her Bachelor’s degree in Speech Therapy and Audiology. She enjoys working with children and families and getting to know the interests, relationships and everyday experiences that shape how each child communicates. She speaks English, Urdu and Gujarati and values the different languages and cultural backgrounds that families bring.
Rida’s approach is child-centred and play-based, with a focus on making sessions meaningful and engaging. Through play, books, games and everyday interactions, she supports children to develop their communication skills in ways that connect with their interests and needs. She aims to create a welcoming space where children can be themselves and families feel comfortable sharing their experiences.
Rida values a holistic approach that looks beyond the child alone to include the people and environments around them. She enjoys working alongside families, educators and other professionals to understand what helps each child participate in everyday life. An important part of her work is helping those around the child feel informed, supported and empowered to encourage communication beyond therapy sessions.
Outside of work, Rida enjoys travelling, watching movies, reading and exploring Melbourne. She is a social person who enjoys bringing people together and runs a social club where she helps people connect and build friendships. She looks forward to meeting you and your family!
