Psychology
Assessment and intervention, helping children and young people understand and manage anxiety, low mood, trauma, and behavioural challenges through formal assessments and individualised, evidence-based care.

Our psychology service offers structured, evidence-based assessment and therapy for children and young people navigating anxiety, low mood, trauma, behavioural difficulties, and other mental health challenges. Sessions are delivered by a registered psychologist and draw on approaches such as cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and trauma-informed practice, always adapted to suit each child's age, developmental stage, and goals.
Formal psychological assessment is a core part of this service — including assessments for anxiety, mood, and behavioural concerns — giving families a clear, evidence-based picture of what's going on rather than guesswork.
Assessment findings are used to build a targeted, structured therapy plan, so support addresses the underlying drivers of a child's difficulties rather than just the surface behaviour. Where useful, assessment reports can also support NDIS planning, school conversations, or referrals to other specialists.
Psychology works alongside a child's wider care team at Bloom where relevant, so therapeutic and assessment goals stay consistent across services. Support is available to both NDIS-funded participants and private clients, with a complimentary discovery call offered to help identify whether psychology is the right fit.
