Speech Pathology
Speech and language support that helps children build the communication, social, and feeding skills they need to connect, be understood, and thrive at home, at school, and in play.
Speech Pathology supports children who are finding it hard to communicate, understand others, or use speech and language confidently. Our speech pathologists work across a wide range of areas, including speech sound production, expressive and receptive language, stuttering, social communication, and feeding and swallowing difficulties, tailoring support to each child's individual profile and goals.
Assessment is a key part of this service, helping to clarify what's driving a child's communication difficulties and providing a clear, evidence-based picture that can support NDIS planning and school conversations.
Sessions are playful and engaging, using play-based and naturalistic approaches to build communication skills in ways that feel meaningful to each child, rather than repetitive drilling. Depending on a child's goals, support might focus on clearer speech sounds, building vocabulary and sentence structure, developing social communication and conversation skills, or supporting safe and confident eating and drinking.
Speech Pathology works alongside a child's wider care team at Bloom where relevant, so progress made in sessions is reinforced across other areas of support. This service is available to both NDIS-funded participants and private clients, with a complimentary discovery call offered to help identify the right starting point.
